NAB Show is around the corner. This epic show for broadcasters and other video professionals coincides with meetings and industry sessions galore. If you’ve ever been on the fence about going to the show, but thought that it may not be for you because you are a photographer, social media guru or budding content creator, this is the year to go. Why? The Visual Storytelling Conference will be held live and in-person at the show!
Held on April 14-15 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Visual Storytelling Conference offers truly engaging content via multi-track course offerings. These focused, immersive sessions will help you tell a better story. Topics include business, online video, digital storytelling, photography, social media, and more. Join many of the instructors from the online conference of years past, along with new faces. There is absolutely something for everyone at all levels.
This conference truly differs from the other conferences at NAB Show, such as Post|Production World. As someone who has attended NAB Show and PPW numerous times, these sessions tend to be geared toward colorists, TV/film editors, producers and motion graphic specialists. Exhibitors such as Adobe will have small sessions on the show floor. And while these paths offer excellent instruction, it isn’t for everyone in the Photofocus community.
As a past instructor for the Visual Storytelling Conference, I know first-hand the audience this conference caters to… and it is absolutely the Photofocus community. Photography experts will learn tips to get better. Want to expand into video production? This conference has you covered. Want to learn more about AI or monetizing content? They have courses on that too. Into social media, vlogging, or learning motion graphics? Yup, that’s included.
The stars of the industry are headed to Vegas to teach you at this conference! You never want to miss a Chris Converse session. Kevin Ames will light up your world with his photography classes. Of course Rich Harrington will be there, because there’s not a conference out there that doesn’t want to offer his expertise. Abba Shapiro, Frederick Van Johnson, Luisa Winters… you get the picture.
Don’t forget about networking! One great thing about a live conference is that it provides better opportunities to connect with your peers for great discussion. Also, the timing of this conference still leaves you time to catch the immense NAB Show, which runs from April 15-19, PPW, exhibitor talks and more, if you desire.
